- Sun Pharma confirmed that the transaction is not a related-party deal, with no interests held by its promoters or promoter group entities in Innovcare.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has announced plans to acquire Innovcare Lifesciences Private Limited, a Mumbai-based pharmaceutical and healthcare company, in a deal valued at approximately Rs 271.2 crore.
According to the regulatory filing, the acquisition will see Sun Pharma purchase 100 per cent of Innovcare’s outstanding shares through a cash transaction. The deal is expected to be completed on or before 31 July 2026.
Innovcare operates in the marketing, distribution and sale of pharmaceutical drugs, nutraceuticals and cosmeceutical products across India. The company reported revenue from operations of Rs 94.06 crore during the financial year ended March 2026, continuing a steady growth trajectory from Rs 86.09 crore in FY2024-25 and ₹80.93 crore in FY2023-24.
Sun Pharma said the acquisition forms part of its strategy to strengthen its product portfolio. The pharmaceutical major also confirmed that the transaction does not constitute a related-party deal and that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities hold any interest in Innovcare.
