Neha Ahuja, Head of Marketing at Spotify, was recognized as one of IMPACT’s top 50 most influential women in 2024.
During her winning speech, she took a moment to acknowledge the invaluable support and guidance that had contributed to her success.
“This is definitely not a reflection of my solo journey. I have a really, really, really kickass team at Spotify that has sort of helped me, you know, get here,” she shared. “I also have a small kickass all boys team at home who, you know, are absolutely adorable and extremely, extremely supportive for whatever I do.”
Her gratitude extended to the mentors and colleagues who had shaped her journey, highlighting the importance of inspiration in her career. “And of course, you know, thanks to all of you here who have inspired me and, you know, sort of, you know, set the path for us, you know, to reach this. I see, you know, a lot of familiar faces whom I have worked with, a lot of mentors here.”
“I think what I learned was that every interaction counts and I think this mentoring is extremely, extremely important,” she explained.
As she accepted the award, Neha acknowledged that this recognition came with significant responsibility.
“This definitely is a recognition of whatever we've achieved but also comes in with a lot of responsibility,” she said.
Neha also pointed out the crucial role women play as role models, especially for the next generation. “There are a lot of, you know, women or girls who are watching us, so we will need to play role models,” she emphasized. “Every interaction helps, every, every action is being watched, so let's all shine together and pave the path for many others to, you know, stand up here.”
