Hindustan Times has announced the launch of Season 3 of its flagship weekly digital entertainment show, The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra, presented by Kalyan Jewellers and produced by Gautam Thakker Films. The new season premiered on February 20 across the official YouTube channels and digital platforms of Hindustan Times and HT City.

Following the success of its first two seasons — which collectively drew over 20 million viewers — the show returns with an expanded slate of celebrity conversations, industry insights, and brand integration opportunities aimed at India’s urban digital audiences.

Hosted by Sonal Kalra, Chief Managing Editor (Entertainment & Lifestyle) at Hindustan Times, the series has positioned itself as a credible editorial-led platform in the entertainment interview space, combining journalistic depth with pop-culture relevance. Known for its candid conversations and behind-the-scenes perspectives, The Right Angle continues to attract leading figures from Indian cinema.

Expanding access to industry voices

Previous seasons have featured prominent actors and filmmakers including Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Mohit Suri, and Rohit Shetty. Season 3 builds on this track record, opening with appearances from Shilpa Shetty and other high-profile guests, offering conversations that extend beyond promotional narratives into filmmaking processes, industry trends, and creative decision-making.

Real-time cultural relevance

A key differentiator for the show has been its ability to engage with topical cultural moments — from capturing emerging cinematic trends to addressing viral global phenomena — positioning it as a platform that reflects and shapes ongoing conversations in entertainment. Season 3 aims to deepen this approach by pairing timely insights with exclusive interviews to deliver a comprehensive view of the evolving media and film landscape.

Brand and audience reach

Distributed across the Hindustan Times digital ecosystem, the series connects with urban, digitally native audiences who actively engage with and influence pop culture discourse. The platform has previously hosted brand integrations spanning beauty, technology, lifestyle, and automotive categories, providing partners with visibility and contextual alignment through association with Hindustan Times’ editorial legacy.

Commenting on the new season, Sonal Kalra said: “Season 3 is designed to be as dynamic as the digital age we live in. We are digging deeper, asking tougher questions, and bringing our viewers closer to their favourite stars than ever before.”

Availability

Season 3 premieres February 20 and will be available on the official Hindustan Times and HT City YouTube channels and digital platforms.
