The Indian media fraternity is mourning the death of senior journalist Girijesh Mishra, Executive Producer at TV9 Bharatvarsh, who passed away on 7 June at the age of 49.
Mishra had been admitted to hospital after his health deteriorated earlier in the week and died during treatment on Sunday. He is survived by his wife and two children. His funeral was held at Delhi's Ghazipur Crematorium on Sunday.
Members of the media fraternity paid heartfelt tributes, describing Mishra as a knowledgeable journalist and generous mentor.
During his career, he held key positions at leading news organisations, including Aaj Tak, Zee News, and India News.
