Onam, Kerala’s most celebrated festival, sparks a surge in consumer activity and advertising revenue. As the first major festival of the season, it offers valuable insights into consumer behaviour, setting trends for upcoming celebrations like Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali, and Christmas. Kerala's reputation for strong consumer spending and a preference for premium products makes it a key market indicator.

In line with the festival’s significance, Radio Mango is dedicated to maintaining a balance between quality content and advertising value. By capping ad inventory each hour, the station provides advertisers with greater visibility in concise, impactful slots, while ensuring listeners experience minimal disruption and more engaging content.

CEO Manoj Mathan stated: "Radio Mango has always been listener-friendly. Which listener likes long ad breaks of 7-8 minutes, or sometimes even more? And how does it help an advertiser to be a part of such a long ad break on radio? Hence, Mango, as always, and even during Onam season, allows only limited inventory of ads, as it benefits the listener AND the advertisers who choose to be part of short ad breaks on radio."

To highlight this approach, Radio Mango released a tongue-in-cheek direct mailer to advertisers and stakeholders across Kerala, emphasizing the value of clutter-free advertising. With its streamlined approach, Radio Mango ensures the Onam season remains vibrant and engaging for both advertisers and listeners alike.
