Ethnix by Raymond has unveiled a ‘Mandap on Wheels’ campaign, conceptualised and executed by Madison Media.

At the heart of the campaign was a beautifully decorated wedding mandap that travelled across key parts of Gurgaon, bringing the visual richness of an Indian wedding into the urban landscape. Adding an authentic touch to the experience, a couple got married on the moving mandap, turning the activation into a live celebration that commuters and passersby could witness along the way. The idea was rooted in a simple thought: a wedding is not just about the venue, but about the celebrations, emotions and traditions that bring people together.

By taking the mandap onto the streets, Madison Media brought this thought to life through an unconventional outdoor format for Ethnix by Raymond, connecting the brand with the cultural significance of Indian weddings and its place in the modern wedding wardrobe.

The campaign extended beyond the on-ground experience through amplification across Meta, meme pages, advertising and marketing communities. This approach brought together the visual appeal of the activation and the shareability of a culturally relevant idea, taking the experience beyond the streets and into digital conversations.

Commenting on this disruptive marketing idea, Kalpana Singh, CMO, Raymond Lifestyle Limited said; “The activation is designed to work on two levels at once. On the ground, it buys the brand an unmissable share of attention at the exact moment the wedding season opens, across a route chosen for footfall rather than convenience. Every surface carries the brand - the float, the mandap, the band, the cast to ensure recall is built into the spectacle rather than appended to it. And every stretch of the route is captured for owned and earned digital content, turning a few hours of street-level noise into a campaign with a far longer tail. The route concludes within reach of Ethnix by Raymond's Gurgaon retail presence, converting attention into store footfall at the start of the buying cycle rather than at the end of it.”

On the campaign, Vivek Das, Chief Digital Officer, Madison Media, said, “In an increasingly cluttered media landscape, brands need to move beyond conventional touchpoints and create experiences that people notice, engage with and remember. Mandap on Wheels taps into the cultural significance and collective excitement of Indian weddings to transform an everyday city commute into an unexpected, high-impact brand experience. By bringing together the spectacle of a moving mandap, the energy of a live wedding ceremony and the relevance of the wedding season, the campaign takes the brand directly to consumers, creating an experience that captures attention on the streets and extends its reach through digital sharing. It is a great example of how creative thinking, cultural insight and impactful on-ground execution can come together to create memorable brand experiences.”

Jayesh Yagnik, CEO, MOMS Outdoor, said, “OOH advertising offers brands the opportunity to become part of the environment people move through every day. With Mandap on Wheels, we’ve taken this a step further by transforming the streets into a live celebration that brings the brand directly to consumers. The moving mandap and the energy of an Indian wedding create a distinctive visual spectacle that stands out in the urban landscape and encourages people to engage with the experience. It demonstrates how OOH can evolve beyond static visibility to create immersive, culturally relevant experiences that capture attention on the ground and generate conversations beyond it.”
