Rajeev Beotra, who retired from HT Media last year after stepping down as Executive Director – Revenue, has embarked on a new creative journey with the launch of his Substack series, Chronicles from Mehra World.
The fictional series follows a protagonist navigating life after retirement, exploring the humour and absurdities of a new phase of life. According to Beotra, the stories centre on the idea that retirement does not diminish life's complexities but simply changes their nature.
In a post on Substack, Beotra said he also plans to write on subjects beyond fiction, including the golden era of Hindi cinema and music, as well as the world of tennis.
Beotra spent several years at HT Media, where he led the company's revenue function before retiring in 2025. His latest venture marks a shift from media leadership to long-form writing, combining fiction with personal interests and cultural commentary.
