  • C Sri Sailam, an industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in events and marketing, has announced his candidacy for Vice President of EEMA South for the 2026–2028 term.

Industry veteran C Sri Sailam has announced his candidature for the post of Vice President, EEMA South, for the 2026–2028 term, bringing nearly three decades of experience across events, experiential marketing, MICE, exhibitions, weddings and large-scale public projects.

Currently Director of Rise Advertising Pvt. Ltd., Sri Sailam has spent 27 years delivering corporate events, brand activations, conferences, government events, sports properties and destination weddings across India and international markets.

His nomination marks a continuation of his long association with the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), where he has previously served two consecutive terms as an Executive Committee Member of EEMA South.

Speaking about his decision to contest the election, Sri Sailam said he wanted to give back to an industry that has shaped his professional journey.

"The events industry has given me immense opportunities to grow, collaborate and build lasting relationships. Contesting this election is an opportunity to contribute further to the collective growth of our community," he said.

If elected, Sri Sailam said his priorities would include strengthening member engagement, creating more business and networking opportunities, promoting knowledge sharing, and encouraging the adoption of innovation and technology across the events ecosystem.

He also plans to focus on mentoring young entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration within the industry and advocating ethical business practices while strengthening South India's contribution to the national events landscape.

Beyond EEMA, Sri Sailam has served two consecutive terms as President of The Event Managers Association Tamil Nadu (TEMA), where he led initiatives around professional development, industry networking and business recognition. He is also an active member of the India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), supporting efforts to position India as a global destination for conventions and business events.

As campaigning gathers pace ahead of the EEMA South elections, Sri Sailam's candidature adds another experienced industry leader to the contest, with a platform centred on collaboration, innovation and the continued growth of the regional events ecosystem.
