Bloomberg Media today announced the official launch of Bloomberg India, a premium news destination for investors, business leaders, and decision-makers in the region. Powered by Bloomberg’s global newsroom of more than 3,000 journalists and analysts, the new offering delivers the actionable local insights and global context audiences need to navigate markets with confidence.

"As Bloomberg marks 30 years in India, this digital expansion reinforces our commitment to chronicling the nation’s growth story with the depth and precision our audiences demand," said John Micklethwait, Editor-in-Chief of Bloomberg. “Our hope is that Bloomberg India will become the place where investors and businesspeople come to get reliable independent reporting and analysis of both global markets and India’s fast-evolving economy.”
The new India homepage of Bloomberg.com provides a central hub for trusted data and analysis, interactive market tools, original multimedia content, and world-class journalism.

Key features at launch include:
● Market Intelligence: A new Market Snapshot module, complemented by a dedicated top securities ticker bar, delivering visibility into domestic equities, FX rates, global benchmarks, top market movers, and more.

● Premium Business Insights: Data-driven reporting and analysis tailored for the region’s professionals and retail investors. Offerings include localized, expanded wealth-building guides, such as the new “How to Retire Rich in India” and “Where to Invest 1 Crore Rupees”, which builds on the popular “Where to Invest 10 Lakh Rupees” franchise. Additionally, “10 Asian Companies to Watch” spotlights Asia’s highest-growth businesses, while Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Best Business Schools” list incorporates dedicated coverage of India.

● Dedicated Daily Newsletters: Targeted briefings anchored by the flagship “India Edition” newsletter, written and curated by Menaka Doshi, Bloomberg News Senior Editor and a defining voice in Indian business media. The lineup also includes the “Markets Daily India” intelligence brief, which sets readers up for the India trading day with market-moving insights from around the world.

● Enhanced Multimedia Offerings: Mobile-friendly, video-first journalism and an expanded suite of premium on-demand content. Offerings include “Emerging”, a new podcast co-hosted by Menaka Doshi and Bloomberg Television Anchor and Editor-at-Large Haslinda Amin, as well as exclusive interviews with Indian founders on Bloomberg Television's show “Latitude”. Award-winning documentaries from Bloomberg Originals will also feature on the new India portal.

● Rupee Payment: Bloomberg.com now supports subscription payment in Indian Rupees (INR) via local cards for a simplified checkout process. Support for UPI payments will launch in September.

Coming in October:

● Bloomberg New Economy Forum Coverage: A dedicated homepage module featuring multi-platform coverage of the Forum’s India debut. As more than 500 global leaders convene in New Delhi to forge a path toward future prosperity, audiences can follow the conversation via live broadcasts, sharp analysis, original programming and in-depth reporting, on the homepage and across Bloomberg’s global video experience.

● Special Magazine Editions: India-focused issues of Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets, with digital editions available to subscribers from the homepage.
The launch of the new homepage represents Bloomberg’s latest digital investment in India, now Bloomberg.com’s second-largest audience market globally. To support this growth, Bloomberg has newly established a dedicated digital editorial team led by Digital Managing Editor, Tushar Banerjee, growing its India coverage team to the largest size ever.
“India’s business community is among the most tech-forward and market-savvy in the world, requiring credible, timely data and reporting that keeps pace with its ambition,” said Tushar Banerjee, Digital Managing Editor, India at Bloomberg News. “With Bloomberg India, we're putting powerful tools and world-class reporting directly at our readers' fingertips, and I look forward to collaborating across our newsrooms to deliver the content this dynamic audience needs to lead.”
Bloomberg India debuts across web and mobile app on August 26, with the Market Snapshot module expanding to the mobile app in late September.
