Mobile advertising technology company InMobi is reportedly moving ahead with its planned initial public offering (IPO), appointing four investment banks to manage the share sale that is expected to raise around $1 billion over the coming months.
According to reports, the company has selected JPMorgan Chase, Jefferies, Kotak Mahindra Capital and Axis Capital to lead the offering. The IPO process is expected to begin later this week, people familiar with the development reportedly said.
Backed by SoftBank Group, InMobi is said to be targeting a valuation of between $5 billion and $6 billion through the proposed listing. Bloomberg had earlier reported that such a valuation would position the company among the mid-sized publicly listed technology firms in India.
The company is also reportedly in the process of shifting its domicile from Singapore to India ahead of the public issue. However, the listing plans are still being finalised and remain subject to change.
