The government has opened the financial bids for the empanelment of Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms, marking a key step in its ongoing effort to formalise and streamline digital media collaborations.

According to an advisory issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Central Bureau of Communication, the financial bid opening is scheduled for April 8, 2026, at 12 PM. The process will take place at the Main Conference Room, Second Floor, Soochna Bhawan, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

This development follows an earlier advisory dated February 16, 2026, and signals progress in the government’s plan to onboard OTT platforms for its communication and outreach initiatives.

The move is expected to bring greater structure to how the government engages with digital streaming platforms, as OTT continues to emerge as a powerful medium for content dissemination and audience reach.

The advisory noted that the process has been approved by the competent authority, indicating that the empanelment exercise is moving ahead as planned.
