Google has reportedly laid off 200 employees in its global business unit, responsible for sales and partnerships. According to reports citing people privy to the matter, the tech giant took the decisive step on Tuesday.
The company told Reuters that it was taking small steps across teams to improve collaboration and customer service.
Many big tech companies like Google have been redirecting investment towards data centers and AI development, while cutting back on investments in other departments.
