The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted search operations across Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and other locations on 7 May in relation to an alleged Rs 1,000 crore money laundering case linked to online gaming and betting.
Reports suggest the searches were carried out by the ED’s Bengaluru Zonal Office in connection with an ongoing probe involving Gameskraft Technologies Pvt Ltd, its directors, and others suspected of involvement in an alleged illegal betting network.
Officials reportedly collected and examined a range of documents, digital records and electronic devices during the raids, which are believed to be linked to the probe. The agency is said to be compiling evidence to track the flow of funds in the case.
The probe originates from multiple FIRs filed at different police stations in Bengaluru. These cases were subsequently transferred to the ED, which is now investigating under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The ED had previously conducted searches involving Gameskraft Technologies Pvt Ltd in a separate case last year. Officials have clarified that the latest action pertains to a different investigation into alleged online betting activities. The probe is ongoing.
