Four Indian advertisers recently bagged awards at the Internationalist Awards for Innovative Digital Marketing Solutions. The awards, instituted by the Internationalist magazine, are recognition that digital campaigns have changed the way marketing can connect with the audience.

Newspapers in Uttarakhand have seen some interesting trends in the IRS Q3 2010 results. While the old Hindi newspaper players of the state, Amar Ujala and Dainik Jagran, have witnessed decline in their readership, Hindustan has seen double digit growth in its readership in the third quarter.
Dailies have been able to chart a growth story in Madhya Pradesh, with just three of the top 15 papers showing a decline in AIR as per the IRS Q3 2010 results. Hindi dailies rule in the state, with The Times of India, the top English daily in the state, coming in at No. 9 in the overall top 15 list.

TRAI Chairman JS Sharma has said that the growth of broadband connections in India will help in the development of the economy and also in infrastructure such as education and healthcare. While he has not disclosed TRAI’s future broadband plans, he does mention that one part is to have a closer role in the functions of service providers to encourage value added services, while at the same time, connecting every gram panchayat in the country to a fiber optic network as early as 2012.

Ogilvy India emerged the clear winner, bagging 14 metals, totaling a tally of 145 points. Lowe Lintas and Mudra followed with total tallies of 90 and 75 points, respectively.
