Maruti Suzuki India Limited has won the prestigious MMA Asia Pacific and the Global awards for its digital campaign –‘Sports Sponsorship goes mobile.’ The Awards are given to companies for the best use of mobile media for branding purposes, both in the Asia Pacific region and globally. The award ceremony was held at Los Angeles, USA, last week. This is the first time that any Indian company has been chosen for these prestigious awards at a global level.
Avinash Kaul has joined Times Television Network as Chief Executive Officer of Zoom Entertainment Network Limited. Prior to this, for a brief period, Kaul was the CEO of SaharaOne where he headed three channels - SaharaOne, Filmy and Firangi. Kaul has 12 years of experience in the television business and has worked with channels such as SaharaOne and NDTV Media.
ESPN-STAR Sports (ESS) has appointed Aloke Malik as Managing Director of its India operations for ESPN Software India (ESI). Malik will head the management of ESI, which oversees the distribution, sales and marketing of its multi-media brands. He joins ESI from Idea Cellular.
J Shekar, Business Head of Zee Kannada, has put in his papers. He has been with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd for more than a decade. It is not known where Shekar is headed next, but he will continue to operate in the same space. He is currently serving his notice period and will be with Zee till the end of January 2011.
India’s noted FM radio station, 94.3 My Fm is celebrating the month of November as the Passion month. In sync with its proposition Jiyo Dil Se, the radio channel has introduced a series called ‘My City My Passion’, which is aired in the morning from 7 am to 11 am during the Salaam City show and in the evening from 5 pm to 9 pm during the Happy Evening drive.
