Ten Sports continues its alliance with Aircel Chennai Open (ACO) for yet another edition of the tournament as the ‘official broadcaster’. The channel has bagged exclusive rights of telecasting the tournament in India. Ten Sports will bring home international tennis action of Aircel Chennai Open 2011 to more than 70 million Indian households. Ten Sports’ coverage kicks off on-air from Monday, 3 January 2011 and will continue till Sunday, 9 January 2011.
The Chernin Group today announced the formation and launch of CA Media, a company that will strategically build, manage, and operate media, entertainment, and technology businesses throughout Asia. The Chernin Group also announced that Peter Chernin will be Chairman of CA Media and Paul Aiello, who along with Chernin is a founding shareholder of the company, will be CEO.
Ending five years of its association with Euro RSCG, the Dainik Bhaskar Group has shifted its account to Meridian. Euro RSCG had won the business in the year 2005. Mandar Natekar has joined Times Television Network’s latest venture, Movies Now, as National Ad Sales Head. In his new role, Natekar will report to Ajay Trigunayat, Channel Head, Movies Now. His primary responsibilities include establishing the channel as a preferred platform for advertisers across the country.
The Sunday Guardian entered the digital space by successfully unveiling its new website on November 7, 2010. The current site is a beta version of the newspaper and the second section, Guardian20, will take three more weeks to come up. Well-known journalist and columnist MJ Akbar is the Editor-in-Chief of the weekly newspaper.
It is learnt that Belmonte, the economy menswear brand from S Kumars, has invited a few agencies to pitch for its creative mandate. Currently, the brand doesn’t have any creative agency on board. There will be no changes in the media duties and Mindshare will continue to be the media AOR on the business.
