Digital streaming platform Hotstar's Head of Revenue, Punitha Arumugam has resigned. Sources have confirmed the news to exchange4media.

Arumugam had joined Hotstar as a Digital Evangelist in 2017 and was promoted to the position of Hotstar's Revenue Head last year. Her next move remains unknown.

Prior to her stint at Hotstar, Arumugam, was at Google where she led the organisation’s agency business, first from India and later for the region from Singapore, as Managing Director, APAC Agency Business & Deals.

A media agency veteran for over 20 years, she is best known for her leadership at Madison Media as Group CEO for over 13 years. She is widely acknowledged as the driving force behind Madison’s transformation to the second largest media agency in India and is credited for building a buoyant agency business for Google in India and the Asia Pacific.
