Adobe completed its acquisition of Topaz Labs, an AI company specializing in industry-leading video and image enhancement models. Topaz Labs will continue as a standalone brand, and Adobe and Topaz will bring advanced capabilities directly into the tools and workflows creative professionals and enterprises already use.

Adobe’s mission is to empower everyone to create and that means giving our customers access to the industry's top AI models alongside our leading creative tools — all in one place. Topaz Labs has earned the trust of filmmakers, photographers and designers for technology that recovers detail, improves clarity, maintains temporal consistency and produces video and image results that feel authentic. It's also been recognized with a 2025 Emmy Award for video technology.

Topaz Labs’ award-winning technology is available in Adobe Firefly and Photoshop to help creators and creative professionals upscale and enhance their images and videos while preserving the natural look and detail of the original. Its proprietary Neurostream technology lets professionals process complex AI models on their own devices or Topaz Lab’s cloud-based option. Restoring archival footage, refining low-light shots, enhancing mobile clips, preparing content for the big screen and bringing AI-generated videos to professional quality through creative upscaling will soon be possible within even more existing workflows, helping creatives accomplish more of the work they love.

Additionally, Topaz Labs solves the challenge of modernizing content at scale, allowing enterprises to transform legacy assets into ready-to-use content. Studios with decades of archived film, broadcasters with vaults of legacy game footage and marketing teams producing media for global audiences all face the same challenge: mountains of valuable content that must be modernized for today's high-resolution screens.

By integrating Topaz Labs’ tools and models into everyday Creative Cloud workflows, Adobe’s global community of creative professionals and enterprises will benefit from spending less time moving between tools and more time refining performances, shaping emotion and finding the perfect cut. Adobe will also optimize the performance of Topaz Labs models, while leveraging strong enterprise relationships and global reach to raise awareness of Topaz Labs among creative professionals.

The Topaz Labs brand will remain, and its apps and models will continue to be available as standalone products. Topaz Labs’ CEO Eric Yang will join Adobe's Digital Video and Audio team, and Adobe and Topaz Labs customers can expect the same level of support they’re used to.
