TV ad volumes up 11% in July-Aug 2020 compared to last year: TAM AdEx
According to the report, there have been over 20 new categories and 1800+ new advertisers in July-August compared to last year
Advertising volumes saw a growth of over 10% in the period July to August of this year when compared to the same period last year, reveals data shared by TAM for the period of July till August 29.
When it comes to TV, there has been a 11% rise in Ad Volumes in the same period.
There have been over 20 New Categories and 1800+ New Advertisers in July-August compared to last year.
Television saw 3,000+ Advertisers and 4,600+ Brands visible across 370+ Categories. On a daily basis, ad volumes in August 2020 grew by 5% over the previous month.
The data also shows that ad volumes have stabilized during the last 6 weeks and witnessed a rise of 16% in week 35 compared to week 27.
Looking on the basis of sectors, ‘Personal Care/Personal Hygiene’ has topped with a 21% share followed by the F&B sector. The list of top 10 categories was dominated by the FMCG sector.
The Top 10 advertisers have added nearly 50% share of the TV Ad Volumes with HUL alone accounting for 22% of the Ad Volume, followed by Reckitt with a 10% share.
Among the new advertisers, topping the list is Facebook Inc. Category ‘Cars’ saw highest growth of 3 Times in terms of Ad Volumes closely followed by ‘Chocolates’ In list of top 10 growing Advertisers, Coca Cola India witnessed massive surge in Ad Volumes
The news genre has topped with 31% of ad volumes followed by GEC at 27% and the movies genre at 25%.
