Total ad insertions up by 13.08% in week 25: BARC India
The advertisers category saw two new entrants -- Amazon.in and Ponds India in the top ten list
The top ten advertisers witnessed an increase of 13.08% in the total number of ad insertions whereas top ten brands increased 6.94 % in the total number of insertions in week 25 as per the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India data.
The total insertions for the top ten advertisers stand at 6,63,862 insertions as compared to 5,87,405 insertions in week 24. Meanwhile, insertions for brands stand at 1,49,741insertions as compared to 140, 029 in the previous week.
In the advertisers category, Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser with 2,92,536 insertions followed by Reckitt Benckiser which ranked second with 84,987 insertions.
Godrej Consumer Products bagged the third spot this week with 67,256 insertions followed by Brooke Bond Lipton India at fourth spot with 46,500 insertions and ITC on the fifth spot with 41,791 insertions.
Procter & Gamble Home Products bagged the sixth spot with 36,676 insertions and Procter & Gamble in the seventh spot with 30,234 insertions. Amazon Online India stood at the eighth spot with 24,555 insertions and Cadburys India on the ninth spot with 20,293 insertions. Ponds India grabbed the tenth spot this week with 19,034 insertions.
In the brands category, Lux Toilet Soap continued to lead the list with 22,772 insertions followed by Horlicks on the second position with 16,812 insertions and Amazon.in on the third spot with 16,535 insertions. Policybazaar.com bagged the fourth spot with 16,196 insertions and Surf Excel Easy Wash grabbed the fifth spot with 14,503 insertions.
Dettol Toilet Soaps, Wheel Active 2 in 1 and Close Up Ever Fresh with 13,549 insertions, 12,726 insertions and 12,645 insertions bagged the sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively. Godrej No.1 Soap and Sunsilk Black Shine stood at the ninth and tenth spot with 12,126 insertions and 11,877 insertions respectively.
