Every organisation has a founder. Very few are fortunate enough to have a Dr Atul Hegde.
Some leaders earn respect. The rare ones earn a permanent place in your life.
To the world, Atul Hegde was an entrepreneur, a visionary and a pioneer. To many of us who had the privilege of working with him, he was so much more—a mentor, a guide, a sounding board, an elder brother and someone who always had time, no matter how busy he was.
This article is my small attempt to capture the man behind the leader—the conversations, the kindness, the vision and the values that shaped not just YAAP, but all of us who were fortunate to be part of his journey.
Thank you, Atul, for believing in us long before we believed in ourselves.
