Ajit Varghese elevated; will lead Global Market Development as President for MEC and Maxus merged entity

He will take on his new role early next year and will be reporting to Tim Castree who is the Global CEO of the new entity

Ajit Varghese, APAC CEO for Maxus, will now be spearheading Global Market Development as President and will be based out of London for the new entity which is a result of the merger of Maxus and MEC. He will be reporting to Tim Castree who is the Global CEO of the new entity.


 Varghese was appointed APAC CEO in September 2013. With the recent development of MEC Maxus coming together, GroupM is slated to remove existing regional structures, towards achieving higher efficiencies for the new entity.


Varghese has been responsible for scaling up Maxus in India and APAC, getting the agency to a new high with the best record in the industry in terms of new business wins and client retentions and building its reputation as the fastest growing agency.
