Ad Club Madras postpones Maddys 2020 over Coronavirus concerns

The Advertising Club Madras has decided to postpone Maddys 2020, which was scheduled on 28th March 2020, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

A statement by the industry body said, “MADDYS 2020 scheduled on 28th  March 2020 at VGP- By the Bay, Chennai has been postponed until further notice considering the heightened concerns and threat to the well-being and safety of delegates. Maddys 2020 will come back on the revised date, which will be informed shortly.”

This decision is on the heels of The Advertising Club and the Advertising Agencies Association of India, the two leading industry bodies that curate and host the prestigious Advertising Media & Entertainment festival Goafest together with Abby Awards unanimously decided to postpone the 2020 edition of the premiere festival until further notice. 

The organisers of FICCI Frames 2020 had also postponed the international convention in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
