Mandar Natekar, CoFounder & CEO NeuralGarage, paid tributes to Piyush Pandey, remembering him as a true legend of Indian advertising.
“Piyush Pandey. I first read this name in an advertising magazine in 1998 that all MBA students used to read “A&M” and the name popped up quite regularly as the name behind some of the most memorable advertising that India has ever seen. I had the opportunity to meet him many times over the years, Coca Cola parties, Ad club events, even at coffee shops. Every meeting was memorable, a booming hello, a warm hug and blessings (I always touched his feet when we met). My last meeting with him was at the launch of “Guthli Ad Fest” where I had the opportunity to honour him and Pops, a year and a half back,” he wrote in a post.
“A true legend of Indian advertising, this is the end of an era. A man of the stature of Piyush Pandey will never walk this earth again,” he concluded.
