Disha Sanghvi has joined Indian artificial intelligence company Sarvam as Brand & Communications Lead, marking her move into the frontier AI space after a career spanning journalism, fintech and brand communications.

Sanghvi announced her appointment on LinkedIn, saying she was drawn to Sarvam’s work in shaping India’s position in frontier AI. In her new role, she will focus on building the company’s brand and communications strategy.

Sanghvi began her career as a journalist at Mint, where she covered insurance and fintech regulation. Her experience later took her into the businesses she had previously reported on, giving her exposure to financial products and the challenge of communicating complex offerings to consumers.

“Making the complicated feel obvious” is an instinct she said has guided her career and is particularly relevant to the emerging AI industry.

Before joining Sarvam, Sanghvi was part of ZET, where she worked across brand, content, public relations and performance marketing.

At Sarvam, she joins a company focused on developing AI models and technology for India. Her appointment comes as Indian technology companies increasingly invest in building and communicating products around generative and frontier AI.
