Communications veteran Bhaskar Majumdar no more

Communications expert Bhaskar Majumdar passed away on Thursday morning after a prolonged illness, as reported by e4m.
He had over 25 years of experience in reputation management, working with major organizations including Reliance Industries and ESPN Star Sports.
Majumdar was associated with several strategic communication agencies and served on advisory committees for various management forums and industry awards.
He was recognized in the PR field, being named among exchange4media’s Top 100 Influential Game Changers for five consecutive years and actively mentored emerging professionals through lectures at prominent institutes.

Communications veteran Bhaskar Majumdar is no more. He passed away on Thursday morning following a prolonged illness, e4m has learnt.

A senior communication consultant with 25 years of experience in reputation management, Majumdar had worked across prominent Indian and global organisations. He had served as General Manager, Corporate Communications at Reliance Industries and as Manager, Corporate Communications at ESPN Star Sports. He had also worked with reputed strategic communication agencies such as APCO Worldwide, Genesis PR, Vaishnavi Corporate Communications and Adfactors PR.

He had served on the advisory committees of several management forums and had been associated with multiple industry award platforms and juries. His work had been recognised across industry forums, including the Davos Digital PR Awards, Campaign Asia Awards, SABRE Asia, eLets India Brand Awards and many more. He had also been named among exchange4media’s Top 100 Influential Game Changers in PR & Corporate Communications for five consecutive years, from 2020 to 2024.

Beyond corporate leadership, Majumdar had actively mentored emerging professionals and regularly lectured at leading institutes such as the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), India Today Institute, GGSIP University and the Delhi School of Communication.
