WPP has announced that Joanne Wilson will step down as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of WPP to take up the role of Chief Financial Officer at Diageo plc.
Wilson will continue in her current position until her successor is appointed. She has a 12-month notice period, with the exact date of her departure to be agreed in due course.
WPP’s Board has initiated a formal search process to appoint her successor as CFO.
Cindy Rose, Chief Executive Officer, said: "On behalf of the executive team, I would like to thank Joanne for her significant contribution over the past three years. She has been a valued partner as we have strengthened the business, sharpened our financial discipline and begun to deliver our phase one of Elevate28.
