Tata Consumer Products has appointed Virat Khanna as Vice President – Marketing & Innovation, Beverages. In his new role, Khanna will lead the marketing and innovation agenda for the company’s packaged beverages portfolio and will also be responsible for the growth mandate for Tata Agni.
Khanna shared the news on his LinkedIn post, marking the move as a transition from skincare to beverages after five years with Dabur India.
Khanna joins Tata Consumer Products after more than five years at Dabur India, where he most recently served as Head of Marketing – Skin Care. He joined Dabur in June 2021 as Category Head – Hair Care, Vatika, before taking charge of the skincare business in March 2023.
Prior to Dabur, Khanna was Head of Marketing at The Moms Co, where he worked from August 2020 to June 2021. Before that, he spent close to three years with Philips as Category Marketing Manager – Male Grooming and Innovation. His earlier career includes a stint of over seven years at L’Oréal India, where he held roles across marketing, sales and key account management.
Khanna said the opportunity to shape the innovation agenda across packaged beverages while driving growth for Tata Agni brings together his interest in “building for the future” and “building brands that become part of everyday life”.
“Different category. Different canvas. Same consumer obsession,” he said in the post.
