IMPACT has learnt that Arijit Sengupta is set to join Mars in a marketing leadership role, with a mandate spanning its Snacking and Kellanova businesses. Sengupta disclosed his next move in his farewell address as he exited Zydus Wellness, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer.
The move marks Sengupta’s return to the FMCG ecosystem after a career spanning more than two decades across consumer marketing, sales, brand building and innovation.
Before joining Zydus Wellness, Sengupta spent nearly a decade with Reckitt, where he held several senior marketing roles across geographies. Prior to that, he spent around a decade with Hindustan Unilever, working across sales and marketing roles in India and international markets.
At Zydus Wellness, Sengupta joined at a time when the company was building its portfolio across health and wellness categories. His stint included marketing leadership across brands in the company's consumer portfolio. His departure was formally disclosed by the company last month.
