Cheil Worldwide has elevated Sungkyoon Kim to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Cheil South West Asia, placing a long-time digital and data leader at the helm of its regional operations.
Kim steps into the role with nearly 30 years of experience spanning marketing strategy, consumer psychology, and data-led transformation.
Before moving into the regional CEO role, Kim was responsible for Cheil Worldwide’s digital platform business, where he led Samsung.com and headed the agency’s DnA (Data and Analytics) Center. In that capacity, he worked closely on global CRM architecture, analytics systems and data intelligence frameworks that underpin Cheil’s international marketing operations.
India has been a significant part of Kim’s professional journey. He was closely involved in setting up Cheil’s Global Data Center in the country, strengthening offshore research and development capabilities while supporting global delivery and operational scale. The initiative played a key role in improving efficiency across Cheil’s worldwide network.
Kim takes over from Carlos LimSeob Chung, who has moved into another leadership role within Cheil Worldwide’s global structure.
