Shweta Jain has been appointed as the Managing Director - India & South Asia for Proximo Spirits.
Proximo Spirits manages alcoholic drinks brands like Jose Cuervo, Bushmills, and The Kraken.
She was previously the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts.
Prior to that, Jain was with Diageo for over 6 years, stepping down as the Chief Business Development Officer in April 2024.
In a social media post, announcing her latest move, Jain wrote: "There is a temptation to call this homecoming – but framing it as that falls short of the excitement I feel in starting this week as Managing Director for the dynamic India/South Asia region at the globally renowned leader in the spirits industry, the world’s largest tequila producer & category defining innovator for generations altogether."
