SET & SonyLIV Content Head Ashish Golwalkar steps down

Golwalkar has been with SPNI for almost seven years

Ashish Golwalkar has decided to leave Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) after an almost seven-year stint. Sources close to the development have confirmed the news. Golwalkar was Head of Content for Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and Digital Business (SonyLIV).

He joined SPNI in December 2015 as SVP, Sr Creative Director Content for SET. Subsequently, Golwalkar got elevated to Head of Programming for SET. In November 2019, his remit was expanded to include the programming responsibility for SonyLIV.

Prior to Sony, Golwalkar was with Star India as Sr Vice President - Programming for Star Plus. Before that, he was Head of Non-Fiction Programming at Zee TV.

Golwalkar has over two decades of experience spanning sales and marketing, content syndication, brand management, and content creation. He has been part of multiple award-winning non-scripted shows.
