- Ravi Garg has been appointed Managing Director, Enterprise Business for Asia-Pacific at Meta, expanding his previous role focused on WhatsApp's business messaging and payments in India.
- He led WhatsApp's business messaging and payments operations in India from July 2021 to September 2026, significantly growing the platform's presence in the market.
- In his new position, Garg will concentrate on expanding Meta's enterprise business in APAC, particularly as companies adopt AI for product and service transformation.
- Garg has a background of over 13 years at Microsoft in various senior roles and has also served as COO at Nazara Technologies and held a general management position at Sify.
Ravi Garg has taken on an expanded role at Meta as Managing Director, Enterprise Business for Asia-Pacific (APAC), after leading WhatsApp’s business messaging and payments operations in India for over five years.
Garg served as Country Director – Business Messaging & Payments at WhatsApp from July 2021 to September 2026.
During his tenure, he led the rollout and expansion of the platform’s business messaging and payments operations in India, building the business from the ground up.
In his new role, Garg will focus on expanding Meta’s enterprise business across APAC, as companies increasingly adopt AI to transform products, services and go-to-market strategies. His remit will include bringing Meta’s offerings across business messaging, Meta Business Agents and Muse APIs to businesses in the region.
Before joining WhatsApp, Garg spent 13 years at Microsoft in senior roles across sales, strategy, business planning and channel management. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at Nazara Technologies and held a general management role at Sify.
