Axis Bank has shared via regulatory filing the appointment of Rajeev Mantri as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with effect from 28 September 2026. The announcement follows the resignation of Puneet Sharma as CFO.

Mantri, 49, joins Axis Bank from Bandhan Bank, where he serves as Executive President and Chief Financial Officer. In his current role, he oversees finance and strategy functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, financial controls, reporting, capital and balance sheet management, taxation, procurement, payments and investor relations.

He brings nearly three decades of experience across banking, financial services, credit information, consumer goods and international financial institutions. He brings deep expertise in banking finance, strategy, regulatory engagement, and business transformation.

Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles at Citibank, Standard Chartered and Mashreq across India, Singapore and the UAE.
