- Gap Inc. has appointed Lourdes Arocho as Senior Vice President and Head of Licensing, effective May 15, reporting to Pam Kaufman.
- Arocho will oversee licensing activities for Gap Inc.'s major brands, including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta, from the Los Angeles office.
- Her role will focus on expanding partnerships, brand extensions, and retail opportunities as part of the company's Fashiontainment strategy.
- Arocho brings extensive experience in licensing from previous roles at Nickelodeon, NBC Universal, and Paramount Global, where she managed strategies for popular entertainment franchises.
Gap Inc. has appointed Lourdes Arocho as Senior Vice President and Head of Licensing. She will report to Pam Kaufman, Executive Vice President and Chief Entertainment Officer, and will officially take charge from May 15. Arocho will work from the company’s Los Angeles office and will help drive the next stage of growth for the company’s licensing business.
In her new role, Arocho will manage licensing activities across Gap Inc.’s major brands, including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta. She will focus on expanding partnerships, brand extensions and retail opportunities as part of the company’s Fashiontainment strategy.
Arocho has strong experience in licensing and consumer products. During her career, she has worked with companies such as Nickelodeon, NBC Universal and Paramount Global. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Products and Franchise Management at Paramount Global, where she handled licensing and franchise strategies for popular entertainment brands like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants, Top Gun: Maverick, Yellowstone and PAW Patrol.
At Gap Inc., she will also help strengthen relationships with entertainment studios, creators, retailers and brand partners, while bringing a more focused approach to collaborations across the business.
Pam Kaufman, Executive Vice President and Chief Entertainment Officer at Gap Inc., said that strong brands not only become part of culture but also help shape it. She added that licensing is an important growth area for the company and also helps keep its brands connected with consumers. According to Kaufman, Arocho’s experience, industry relationships and leadership skills will support the company in building partnerships that drive both brand value and business growth.
