Ogilvy’s US business is set for another leadership change, with CEO Lyndsey Corona departing after less than a year in the role. She is expected to move into an opportunity adjacent to the advertising industry, according to the agency.
Laurent Ezekiel, Ogilvy's global CEO, will step in as interim CEO for North America. The agency does not currently intend to name a successor.
Corona's exit comes just months after she was elevated to the top US job in November 2025, a move that followed a broader leadership shake-up at Ogilvy. That reshuffle began in September, when then-global CEO Devika Bulchandani moved to WPP as Chief Operating Officer, paving the way for Ezekiel to take the global CEO seat. Ezekiel subsequently installed Corona atop Ogilvy's largest region by revenue.
She stepped into an agency already navigating turbulence: Ogilvy trimmed about 5% of its workforce last year amid a broader restructuring. Corona had prioritized cutting complexity for clients and knitting together the network's various disciplines more tightly. Her tenure also unfolded against the backdrop of WPP's own multiyear turnaround effort, which has included layoffs and the creation of WPP Creative, a new unit bringing together Ogilvy, VML and other agencies under one roof.
Corona joined Ogilvy from WPP itself, where she served as global growth lead on the Verizon account. Before that, she was president and partner at independent creative shop Slap Global, where she helped the agency land its first agency-of-record win.
Earlier in her two-decade-plus career, Corona held senior posts at Stagwell's Forsman & Bodenfors and Omnicom's McCann, including a stint as McCann North America's chief growth officer, where she helped launch McCann Entertainment. She also spent time at TBWA New York, leading business development on accounts including Pernod Ricard and McDonald's.
