Abhiroop Chuckarbutty succeeds Hemant Rupani, who is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity

Mondelez International has appointed Abhiroop Chuckarbutty as President for its South East Asian business unit. As per his LinkedIn profile, Chuckarbutty has been elevated to the new role from this month, i.e. September 2025.
In his new role, Chuckarbutty will oversee the company’s strategy to drive growth across Southeast Asia. As per reports, Chuckarbutty succeeds Hemant Rupani, who is leaving the company after more than nine years to pursue a new opportunity in India.
Prior to this, Chuckarbutty was the President Tea - Africa, Middle East & Turkey (AMET) at
Chuckarbutty began his career at Unilever as Area Sales and Customer Manager in December 2004 and went on to take several leadership roles at the company where he worked for close to 17 years. He last held the role of Vice President Foods & Refreshment, MENA.
Chuckarbutty is a seasoned professional with over 22 years of experience in the FMCG business across categories & functions across multiple countries like India, Arabia, Egypt, Turkey & Africa.
