Kainaz Gazder leaves behind strong legacy as she moves to P&G China

Kainaz Gazder, Marketing Director, Procter & Gamble India has relocated to China. What her exact role in China will be is not known, as when contacted by exchange4media, the company and Gazder refused to comment.
Gazder joined the company’s India operations in 1996 and later moved to Singapore. Her immediate assignment before returning to India for her current stint was Marketing Director, Femcare Brand Franchise Leader, Asia.
In her latest position as Marketing Director, Gazder looked after strategy development, and business and marketing planning.
Under her leadership, P&G won the Bravery Award at the Effies for the much talked about Gillette ‘ShaveSutra’ campaign.
Together with creative agency BBDO, she has led three exciting social movements for P&G. These include the ‘Soldier’ campaign where the President of India was petitioned to re-dedicate Gateway of India to the soldier in every Indian, the ‘Shave India Movement-3’, and ‘ShaveSutra’.
She was also instrumental in launching the ‘Red Lipstick Movement’. Many of these works have broken sales records and won international recognition.
Gazder was also on IMPACT’s Top 50 women list for 2013.
