Dainik Bhaskar Group has named Durga Chakraborty as Corporate Sales Head – South India, a move that strengthens the company’s regional growth strategy.
Before joining DB Corp, Durga was Associate Vice President at Sony Pictures Networks, where she handled major verticals including SAB TV, FTA, Kids, and the English Cluster. Her expertise in business development, regional market expansion, client relationships, and strategic planning makes her well-equipped to drive DB Corp’s growth in South India.
Durga brings over 20 years of experience across broadcast, print, radio, and digital media, having worked in both India and the US. Throughout her career, she has consistently led growth initiatives, built strong teams, and shaped impactful content and sales strategies.
In her new role, she will lead strategic business efforts, strengthen customer-focused practices, build high-performing teams, and support DB Corp’s mission to deliver effective and value-driven solutions. Her leadership is expected to further boost the company’s innovation and market presence in the region.
Durga will report to Mayar Penkar, Chief Operating Officer – Corporate Sales. He said, “Durga’s appointment is an important step for DB Corp’s plans in South India. Her deep industry experience, strong team-building skills, and client-first approach will help us reach new achievements in the region.”
