Radhika Piramal has stepped down from VIP Industries after a 19-year association with the company. She announced her decision in a LinkedIn post, where she reflected on her journey with the luggage maker and the experiences that contributed to her professional growth.
Piramal said her time at VIP Industries had an important impact on both her personal and professional development. During her tenure, she took on several roles, beginning as a Sales Officer and later serving as Brand Manager, Marketing Head, Managing Director and Vice-Chairperson.
She also spoke about some of the experiences she valued most, including travelling across India with sales teams and business partners and visiting manufacturing facilities. These experiences helped her gain a deeper understanding of product development, innovation, cost management and supply chain operations. She described these hands-on opportunities as some of the most rewarding aspects of her career.
Piramal also highlighted key milestones from her time at the company, including the launch of brands such as Skybags and Caprese, leading business and cultural transformation efforts, and contributing to VIP Industries’ continued market leadership. She credited her colleagues and teams for their support and commitment in achieving these milestones.
Looking ahead, Piramal said she plans to explore new opportunities where she can use her experience as a business leader. She intends to work with organisations in an advisory capacity, take up corporate board roles and continue supporting initiatives aimed at advancing LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion in India.
