Radhika Piramal has announced that she is stepping down from VIP Industries after a 19-year journey with the company. She shared the news through a post on LinkedIn, reflecting on her time at the luggage maker and the experiences that shaped her career.
Looking back on her journey, Piramal said VIP Industries played a significant role in both her personal and professional growth. Over the years, she held several positions, starting as a Sales Officer before taking on roles as Brand Manager, Marketing Head, Managing Director, and later Vice-Chairperson.
She recalled that some of her most memorable experiences came from travelling across India with sales teams and business partners, as well as spending time at manufacturing facilities to better understand product development, innovation, cost management, and supply chain operations. She said these hands-on experiences were among the most rewarding parts of her career.
Piramal also highlighted several achievements during her tenure, including the launch of brands such as Skybags and Caprese, leading business and cultural transformation initiatives, and helping the company maintain its leadership position in the market for many years. She credited these accomplishments to the support and dedication of her colleagues and teams.
Speaking about the future, Piramal said she is looking forward to taking on new opportunities where she can apply the experience she gained as a business leader. She plans to work with companies as an advisor, serve on corporate boards, and continue supporting initiatives that promote LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion in India.
