Media rights for FIFA 2026 and FIFA 2030 World Cups have not been picked up in India, as per media reports.
While the sales process was launched in July 2025, FIFA, as per reports, has failed to onboard buyers, even though the 2026 tournament is scheduled to kickstart on June 11.
Reports quoting anonymous officials said the media rights rate has been reduced from $100 million to $35 million.
Canada, Mexico and the USA will co-host, and a record 48 teams will take part in the tournament.
