Veteran journalist Milind Khandekar who recently stepped down as Digital Editor, BBC India, is set to join India Today Group in a senior position, highly placed sources have told exchange4media.

Khandekar had announced his decision to move out on Twitter. “Fantastic stint, learnt new skills and unlearned a few too. BBC has grown immensely in India and I was lucky to be part of it. Want to thank all my colleagues and wish them well. I will keep you posted on my next move.”

Khandekar has over 22 years of experience in journalism. He has been associated with several media organisations like ABP, Navbharat Times and Aaj Tak. He is an alumnus of the Times Centre for Media Studies and is also the recipient of the Rajendra Mathur Award.

We reached out to Khandekar and India Today Group for a confirmation but there was no response till the time of filing this report.
