Anjana Om Kashyap, Managing Editor of Special Projects at TV Today Network Ltd, has featured in IMPACT Top 50 Most Influential Women of 2024 list. Known for her sharp journalism and fearless approach, Kashyap’s acceptance speech reflected both gratitude and a deep commitment to women’s empowerment.

“Knowing that it's always very dangerous to give a mic to a news anchor, they passed it on to me, so you have to listen to this. Thank you so much Impact Magazine and Mr. Annurag Batra, and the entire jury and each one of you on stage for this honour,” Kashyap humorously began, setting the tone for her inspiring words.

Kashyap recognized not only her own journey but also the contributions of countless women in everyday roles.

"Every girl, every woman who is working right now in the Aaj Tak office or the India Today Group Office deserves this as much as I do. Every woman who is probably hurrying back home on a metro or a local right now deserves it as much,” she said.

Emphasizing the importance of courage, Kashyap encouraged women to take bold steps.

“The first step is courage, and from there comes confidence with experience,” she shared, quoting Miguel Gayn: “No, quiet you're not prettier. You're gorgeous when you struggle, when you fight for what is yours and your words bite.”

Kashyap concluded by reminding the audience that the fight for equality is ongoing.

"We have to teach our girls that this fight is theirs," she said, urging solidarity and empowerment for women of all backgrounds.

In the end, she thanked her daughter and family for inspiring her and for being her pillar of strength.
