After months of legal and commercial disputes, Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd has finally acquired domain jiohotstar.com.
According to media reports, the updated WHOIS records confirm that Reliance is now the legal owner of the domain. The domain is reportedly registered in the name of Manish Painuly, senior director at Viacom18.
The domain, which combines Reliance Jio and Disney+ Hotstar, has faced controversial ownership disputes. Initially registered by a Delhi-based engineer, the domain was later acquired by two siblings based in Dubai.
