Dish TV reported a decline in its financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal 2026, with total revenue falling 27.7% to Rs 329.4 crore from Rs 455.3 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Subscription revenue stood at Rs 273 crore, marking a 10.8% drop from Rs 306.2 crore in Q1 FY25. Advertising income was hit harder, plunging 55% to Rs 4.4 crore from Rs 9.7 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
However, the company’s other operating income posted a sharp increase, rising around 125% to Rs 19.5 crore from Rs 8.7 crore a year earlier.
On the cost side, total expenses were down 11.8% at Rs 256.5 crore compared to Rs 290.8 crore in Q1 FY25. Marketing and promotional fees saw a significant cut, dropping 75% to Rs 32.4 crore from Rs 130.7 crore.
Dish TV’s loss increased from Rs 1.6 crore in Q1 FY25 to Rs 94.5 crore in Q1 FY26.
EBITDA for the quarter came in at Rs 72.8 crore, down 55.7% from Rs 164.5 crore in the previous fiscal’s first quarter. Depreciation and amortization expenses remained unchanged at Rs 105 crore in both Q1 FY26 and Q1 FY25.
