BARC Wk 14: Star Bharat dethrones Colors to lead urban market, leads overall too

In top programmes, Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya bagged the first spot in this week, followed by Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on second and third spots respectively in urban market

Star Bharat continued to dominate the overall market in Week 14 of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India data. The channel claimed the first slot with 731561 Impressions (000s), followed by Zee Anmol on the second position with 710197 Impressions (000s) and Sony Pal on third spot with 675060 Impressions (000s).

Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya bagged the first position in the list of top five programmes with 11460 Impressions (000s). Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya had the second spot with 10718 Impressions (000s) and Star Bharat’s Kya Haal Mr Paanchal stood on the third position with 9370 Impressions (000s). Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma and CID bagged fourth and fifth slots with 8563 Impressions (000s) and 8398 Impressions (000s), respectively.


Hindi GEC Urban

Star Bharat emerged as the leading channel in the Urban market, dethroning Colors. Star Bharat garnered 356727 Impressions (000s). Colors, on the second spot, garnered 353153 Impressions (000s). Star Plus bagged the third slot with 352580 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV stood on the fourth position with 326288 Impressions (000s). Sab TV grabbed the fifth slot with 286256 Impressions (000s).

Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya bagged the first spot in this week with 6577 Impressions (000s), followed by Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on second and third spot with 5853 Impressions (000s) and 5600 Impressions (000s), respectively. Sab TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma and Colors’ Shakti- Aastiva Ke Ehsaas Ki bagged the fourth and fifth spots with 5419 Impressions (000s) and 5284 Impressions (000s), respectively.

Hindi GEC Rural

Zee Anmol continued to dominate the market with 549832 impressions (000s) followed by Sony Pal on the second slot with 459621 impressions (000s) and Star Utsav on the third with 426377 Impressions (000s). Star Bharat and Rishtey stood on fourth and fifth slots with 374833 impressions (000s) and 302125 impressions (000s), respectively.

Kukum Bhagya on Zee Anmol bagged the first spot with 9401 Impressions (000s) followed by Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma on the second spot with 6335 Impressions (000s) and CID on third with 5670 Impressions (000s). Zee Anmol grabbed the fourth spot with 5607 Impressions (000s) and Sony Pal’s Balveer stood on the fifth spot with 5501 Impressions (000s).
