In a media landscape where every rating point counts, the battle for television news supremacy remains fierce.
The latest BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) data for Week 7 of 2025 (February 15-21), accessed by e4m, reveals that Aaj Tak continues to top the Hindi news space.
Aaj Tak continued its reign with a 14.6 rating among the 15+ NCCS All HSM (Urban + Rural) audience.
News18 followed closely at 13.1, while ITV secured 11.1. R Bharat (9.9) and Zee News (9.0) also commanded significant viewership, underscoring the stiff competition in the Hindi-speaking market.
Other notable players, including TV9 (9.1), TNNBT (7.5), and ABP News (7.0), showcased consistent traction among audiences.
When factoring in OOH TV viewership, minor shifts were observed. Aaj Tak’s dominance in the Hindi news space strengthened with a slight uptick to 14.9. In urban Hindi-speaking markets, Aaj Tak extended its lead further, registering 15.5, followed by NEWS18 (14.0) and ITV (11.8).
As the battle for viewership intensifies, even the smallest shifts in ratings indicate how audience preferences are evolving in an increasingly dynamic media landscape.
