BARC Week 5: Zee TV claims first spot in the Hindi Urban GEC market

Zee Anmol continues to lead the overall Hindi GEC market with 758 million impressions followed by Zee TV with 738 million impressions

The Week 5 data of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India is out and Zee Anmol continues to lead the overall market with 758 million impressions followed by Zee TV with 738 million impressions.

Star Utsav which was on the fifth spot last week climbed two spots up bagging the third spot with 704 million impressions. Star Bharat bagged the fourth position with 613 million impressions. Star Plus which was at the third spot last week climbed down to bag the fifth spot with     600 million impressions. 

In the Top 5 program category in the overall market Zee Anmol’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ bagged the first spot with 13.0 million impressions. Colors’ ‘Naagin - 3’ bagged the second spot with 12.39 million impressions while Zee TV’s ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ claimed the third spot with 12.32 million impressions. Colors’ ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi Jigar Pe Trigger’ which was at the first spot last week climbed down three spots to claim the fourth spot with 12.1 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ came fifth with 11.7 million impressions. 

Rural Market

Zee Anmol maintained their first spot in the rural market with 620 million impressions. Star Utsav retained its second spot with 483 million impressions, and Dangal TV too maintained their third spot with 383 million impressions. Rishtey came fourth with 347 million impressions and Sony Pal claimed the fifth spot with 344 million impressions. 

In the program category ‘Kundali Bhagya’ of Zee Anmol maintained its first spot with 10 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s ‘KumKum Bhagya’ bagged the second spot with 9.8 million impressions. ‘Mahek’ of Zee Anmol bagged the third spot with 7.9 million impressions. Dangal TV’s ‘Ramayan’ clinched the fourth spot with 7.4 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ maintained fourth spot with 7.0 million impressions. 

Urban Market

Zee TV which was at the third spot last week climbed the first spot with 450 million impressions. Sony Entertainment Television maintained their second spot with 421 million impressions. Star Plus which was at the first spot last week claimed the third spot with 415 million impressions. Colors came fourth with 372 million impressions. Star Bharat maintained the fifth spot with 313 million impressions. 

In the program category, Colors’ ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi Jigar Pe Trigger’ bagged the first spot with 8.2 million impressions. Color’s ‘Naagin-3’ bagged the second spot with 7.7 million impressions. Sony Entertainment’s, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ came third with 7.1 million impressions. Zee TV’s ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ came fourth and fifth with 7.0 million and 6.3 million impressions respectively.
