BARC Week 43: Colors recovers its hold over urban market, Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya' tops Top 5 Programs

According to BARC data for Week 43 (October 21-27) Colors reclaimed its dominance over urban market with 410 million impressions.

Zee Anmol continued to lead the Top 10 Channels overall garnering 680 million impressions. It was followed by Star Bharat and Zee TV with 658 million and 651 million impressions respectively.

Zee TV’s popular properties, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ took the first and second spots in the Top 5 programs overall with 12.1 million and 11.7 million impressions, respectively.  

The telecast of the first match between India and Australia on DD National took the third spot in the Top 5 Programs with 8.4 million impressions. SET’s iconic property ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ climbed to fourth spot in the Top 5 programs with 8.3 million impressions. 

Sony Pal’s ‘Baalveer’ climbed to fifth spot with 8.1 million impressions.

Urban Market

Colors returned to lead the urban market with improved 410 million impressions, compared to374 million impressions it fetched on Week 42. ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ climbed to fourth spot in Top 5 Programs (Urban) with 5.5 million impressions.

Zee TV slipped to second spot with 377 million impressions as against its previous week’s 404 million impressions. Kumkum Bhagya’ took over the Top 5 Programs fetching 6.9 million impressions while ‘Kundali Bhagya’ slipped to third spot with 6.6 million impressions.

SET slipped to third spot with 354 million impressions, compared to Week 42’s 377 million impressions. ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ slipped to second spot in the Top 5 programs in this market with 6.7 million impressions.

Star Plus held on to its fourth spot with 324 million impressions, compared to 312 million impressions it got on Week 42. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ maintained its fifth spot in the Top 5 Programs with 5.5 million impressions.

Sony SAB retained its fifth spot with improved 301 million impressions, as against its previous week’s 274 million impressions.


Rural Market

Zee Anmol maintained its lead over the rural market with 536 million impressions. Its show ‘Jamai Raja’ slipped to fourth spot in the Top 5 Programs (Rural) with 5.4 million impressions.

The telecast of the first and second match between India and Australia on DD National took the top two spots in the Top 5 Programs with 6.5 million and 6.3 million impressions, respectively.

Sony Pal held on to its second spot with improved 411 million impressions. Its show ‘Baalveer’ maintained its third spot with improved 6.3 million impressions while ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ slipped to fifth spot with 5.3 million impressions. 

Star Bharat also retained its third spot with improved 359 million impressions. None of its shows made it to the Top 5 Programs list.

Rishtey climbed to fourth spot with 316 million impressions.

Zee TV slipped to fifth spot with 273 million impressions.
