The Hindu Group's Sportstar suspends print edition until April 15
The fortnightly sports magazine also said that a free downloadable version of their current and upcoming issue will be available on their website

Sportstar – the fortnightly sports magazine published by The Hindu Group – announced on Twitter that it has put on hold its print issue for the first time in nearly 43 years due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Tweet said: “Dear readers, For the first time in nearly 43 years, we are putting our print issue on hold until at least April 15. However, we will be offering a free downloadable version of the current and upcoming issue on our website. #StayIndoors"
The Tweet is accompanied by a creative that showcases the Olympic rings; with the five rings in blue, yellow, black, green and red, not interlaced but as separate rings; with the phrase, ‘Maintain Social Distancing.’
This move is on the back of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed a nationwide total lockdown, in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus, for 21 days until April 14.
